Attorney at law, specializing in data protection law
Markus Giese has been advising companies on data protection law and acting as an external data protection officer for over 20 years. He mainly advises large non-profit organizations on the design of their data processing procedures. One of his consulting focuses is on the promotional use of data and address trading. He has been cooperating with Dr. Drewes since 2014 and, in addition to his work as an attorney for DPL Drewes Privacy Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, is still active in his own law firm.

- Support for complex digital fundraising measures using TDDDG, GDPR and DSG-EKD
- Implementation of data protection impact assessments for personnel data processing systems (e.g. Softgarden, REXX, HR4you) and support with access authorization concepts for digital personnel files
- Consulting and contract drafting incl. joint control contracts for the introduction of cross-company employee communication platforms (e.g. Haiilo)
- Advice on the introduction of CRM/ERP systems (e.g. Salesforce, Navision) for NGOs with up to 1 million donors/members
- Activity as data protection officer
- Regular lecturer for the Fundraising Akademie gGmbH in the Database Fundraising program
- Company representative in the data protection working group of the German Dialog Marketing Association (DDV)
